CeBIT 2017: Presentation at IBM with SCOPE Europe concerning the European Cloud Code of Conduct

SCOPE Europe

During the CeBIT 2017 SCOPE Europe presents with IBM the new European Cloud Code of Conduct (EU Cloud CoC), that will safeguard user privacy under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

SCOPE Europe, the newly founded subsidiary of Selbstregulierung Informationswirtschaft e.V., administers the EU Cloud CoC. IBM is founding company of the EU Cloud CoC and has been part of the drafting team since the early development of the Code. The EU Cloud CoC proves that the digital economy is willing to foster users' understanding of, and trust into, their services. Invited by the European Commission, the Cloud Service Industry Group (C-SIG) was initiated years ago and has handed over the Code to interested companies early this year.

IBM is member of the General Assembly and recently sign-up its first services to the Code.  Today at the CeBIT IBM confirmed repeatedly its commitment to the Code and its goals.
