As an accredited Monitoring Body under the GDPR, and following international standards, the performance of such monitoring is subject to distinct procedures and formal requirements. At the same time, the diverse environment of the sectors and companies involved guarantee a challenging and dynamic workplace related to a variety of different subject matters.
Your role will include, among others, assessing compliance of companies against approved GDPR codes of conduct, coordinating contact with monitored companies and data protection authorities, drafting internal and external reports, as well as monitoring regulatory changes, media reports, research studies and court decisions.
Profile
The ideal candidate holds a degree in a field such as Law, Political Science, Economics, Accounting, Information Technology or any other relevant domain. They are attentive to detail, diligent, interested in formalistic procedural work, autonomous, proactive, curious, and eager to understand and expand his or her knowledge in a dynamic landscape, for example in the information technology, cloud computing sector or other regulated sectors. The candidate must be keen to understand the compliance challenges associated with the intersection of law and tech and should enjoy working in a team while being able to carry tasks independently.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant academic qualifications
- Excellent command of written and oral English
- Ability to work independently, manage one’s time efficiently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including ability to engage productively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to details and well-suited to methodological and process-driven tasks
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Data Protection Officer or similar certification
- Experience in the data protection field is a strong asset
